Senior HR Employee Manager

Our Client, a chemical distribution, and manufacturing company located
in Indonesia and publicly listed in Jakarta Stock Exchange is seeking

Senior HR Employee Manager

Job Description:
- Develops, communicates and implements the strategic direction of the
operation.
- Delivers HR best practices including performance and talent
management: career development, workforce planning and organizational
effectiveness.
- Functions as a resource for fostering sound working environments
within client groups by building and maintaining trusted relationships.
- To help drive organizational efficiency; improve management quality
and effectiveness; make recommendations to enhance company and
departmental profitability; improve performance; and improve employee
retention.
- Provides HR expertise and assistance in enhancing company culture
while promoting corporate values and mission. Manages change and
highly complex projects in support of organizational objectives.
- Interpret and apply company’s policies and standard practices to the
concerns of the business teams, with the mutual best interests of the
employee, management, and the company.
- Conducts exit interviews and analyzes data and makes recommendations
to management for corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Responds to assigned stores employee relation issues such as
employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights
complaints and represents the company for customer claim.
- Reviews applications and interviews applicants to match experience
with specific job related requirements.
- Represents management in investigating, answering, and settling
employee relations issues between assigned personnel, supervisor and
management.
- To develop company programs and investigates current trends,
practices and costs regarding benefits rates, services, administration
and coverage.
- Proper procedures and worker’s compensation case management and
attends company safety meetings and handles agreed-upon action items.

Qualifications:
- Degree (S1) in Psychology, Law, or Management
- 5-8 years of HR experience with at least 3+ years in employee relations
- Excellent communication, decision making and problem solving skills.
- Strong background in employment laws
- Demonstrated client service skills
- Strong relationship- building skills
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
- Willingness to travel between offices
- Strong personality, self motivation, honest, hard-working and able
to work independently or in a team

Position title : Senior Human Resources Assistant
Duty Station : Jakarta, Indonesia
Classification : Employee
Type of Appointment : Special, six months, with possibility of extension
Estimated starting date : As soon as possible

General Functions:

Under the supervision of the Senior Resources Management Officer (SRMO) and under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission, and in close coordination with the relevant units at the Manila Administrative Centre, Panama Administrative Centre and the Human Resources Management at IOM Headquarters, the successful candidate will assist the SRMO in managing the human resources functions of IOM Indonesia. In particular, he/she will:

Ensure that the HR management in Indonesia is in accordance with the Organization’ s policies and procedures;
Undertake actions related to the administration of Indonesia’s human resources activities, namely, advertising, recruiting, placing and separating staff members. Participate in short-listing and conducting interviews for vacancies in Indonesia, as required.
Coordinate with the Programme Managers on staffing requirements, including the establishment of new positions, promotions and ensuring budgetary coverage;
Supervise the maintenance of personnel files and attendance records of staff in the mission.
Prepare regular and ad hoc reports pertaining to the personnel administration in Indonesia.
Oversee payroll preparation for IOM Jakarta and sub-offices.
Ensure that the Performance Development System is implemented in the mission;
Coordinate with SRMO, MAC and PAC on human resources management related to national / international staff;
Provide guidance to staff at all levels on HR rules and regulations.
Plan and organize staff orientation sessions.
Draft rules on administrative/ HR policies;
Supervise and train HR staff in the mission.
Provide/coordinate administrative support to the Mission.
Perform other duties as may be required.

Desirable qualifications:
(Education, experience
and competencies) University degree, preferably in HR Management. Three to five years experience in administration and HR management. Ability to prepare clear and concise reports. Ability to supervise staff and coordinate administrative/ human resources activities. A high degree of computer literacy is required; good knowledge of MS Excel is essential.

Excellent communication skills. Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, drive for results, respect for diversity, creative thinking. Ability to lead and coach individuals and to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.

Languages Thorough knowledge of English.
